Hello, I’m Laurie.

As someone who has worked at all levels in the nonprofit sector for over two decades, I have a deep understanding and respect for the challenges nonprofits face:

  • managing day-to-day operations

  • recruiting, retaining, and training staff, board members, and volunteers

  • developing and maintaining external relationships

  • building fundraising efforts and securing revenue

  • and, enhancing program offerings

I have led nonprofit organizations, worked with and managed boards, built and trained teams, facilitated and guided strategic planning processes, and raised millions of dollars through national, state, and federal grants, major gifts, and community partnerships.

In 2016, I launched LMB Development Consulting to bring my 25+ years of nonprofit experience to organizations in New York’s Capital Region and beyond. I take a collaborative approach to my work — not just designing strategies but partnering with my clients to implement and evaluate.

As nonprofit professionals, we are doing good in the world. I love this great sector, my work, and supporting impactful organizations as they work to achieve their missions.
